Having obtained a degree in Biochemistry I joined a mid-tier accountancy practice in London as an audit junior in 1989, transferring to the insolvency and corporate recovery department in 1991. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994 and went on to sit the JIEB exams in November 1997, achieving a first time pass, and getting my licence in early 1998. After 13 years in London and 2 children later, I decided to move out of London and closer to home and joined Turpin Barker Armstrong in 2003. I have experience of administrations, administrative receiverships, company voluntary arrangements, voluntary liquidations, individual voluntary arrangements and bankruptcy.
