CurrentManage often-complex estimating and scheduling functions for one of the region’s leading distributors of commercial doors, finish hardware, access control systems, and specialty items for the architecture, contractor, and building owner markets. Print and organize architectural plans for bidding purposes, analyze data to create accurate quotes, and summarize key project information to guide business development and project management efforts. Perform extensive data entry of all orders, tax codes, project information, product specifications, and project stakeholders, facilitating the creation of complete and effective bid packets. Support projects on an ongoing basis, updating Job Control files and entering change orders to fuel accurate purchasing and billing.➥ Play an integral role in the efficiency of daily operations, providing direct support to the Sales organization while indirectly supporting any of the company’s 50 team members.➥ Navigate often-competing priorities and the administrative support needs of multiple key stakeholders, providing courteous assistance, efficient support, and a quick turnaround.➥ Acquired the knowledge critical to succession planning as the organization entered a period with a high number of retiring employees; cross-trained to provide continuity of support.➥ Manage a high volume of quotations each week—some may take a matter of hours while others may take an entire week—performing extensive research to pinpoint required supplies.➥ Serve as one of only three associates officially trained on the new Windows-based computer system, acting as a training resource for peers on system utilization.➥ Pay attention to the details, not only creating accurate and timely bid packets, but also formatting information in an easy-to-understand, aesthetically pleasing manner.
