After graduating from Kent State University, I simultaneously worked as a Front End Manager (Guest Service Attendant) at Target and a Substitute Teacher in several Geauga County Schools. I received a position at Willoughby South High School tutoring for the last year of OGT tests and helped to proctor AIR tests. Shortly after, I received an offer to be a long term substitute math teacher at Mayfield High School.During my time at Lake Catholic High School, I worked to develop my own curriculum that integrated technology with 1-to-1 Chromebooks. I spent my evenings tutoring several students who received the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship.While teaching at Notre Dame - Cathedral Latin School, I have been part of the Algebra 1 PLC and worked on reaching goals for the school improvement plan. In my PLC work, I analyzed student data to help give insight to student understanding which directed my lesson planning. As an Academic Coach, I help students with their organizational skills and communicate with parents as well as the teachers. I also work with the NDCL Marching Band as the Color Guard Advisor leading a group of 10-12 students. I have also been advisors for Mu Alpha Theta and the Sign Language Club.
