Successfully lobbied for $1 million increase to Massachusetts Emergency Food program through a grassroots campaign. Through a work group with 9 stakeholder organizations, researched and helped develop policy changes to increase equity of emergency food distribution in Western Massachusetts. This included designing a survey for 300 organizations, completed with a 50% response rate, supervising data cleaning and analyzing data for determinants of successful food distribution. I also encouraged eligible Western Massachusetts public schools to adopt the Community Eligibility Provision for school meals by connecting food service directors with resources and information to address their budget and household income data collection concerns.

Coordinated data collection at 81 food distribution program site visits throughout W. MA for the Hunger in America 2014 study, including managing schedule, training and supervising a corps of 61 volunteers and 10 staff, and quality control. Collected data in English and Spanish in various settings from clients of many cultures and backgrounds.
