About Lindsey Rayner

I got my first taste of entrepreneurship at the age of 10, when I went into "business" with my father and older brother, selling second hand golf balls at the local golf club. Not just any golf club - a 9-hole sand-and-oil-green course tucked away in the small farming town of Albertinia, in the Southern Cape. Little did I know that everything I'm passionate about in business today was cemented in that childhood experience. Finding a gap in the market, building a brand, putting in the work to make it work and providing a worthwhile service in a tightly knit community. Now, you might be disputing the fact that this was a worthwhile service to the community... but that's only because you've never taken on the punishing conditions of Albertinia GC! Just ask Louis Oosthuizen! I believe that understanding the consumer is fundamental to the success of any marketing campaign – a challenge overlooked and under-explored in the diverse context of the South African landscape.
