Friendship House is a non-profit organization in Mount Vernon, WA dedicated to serving the homeless community through emergency housing, transitional housing, and a public Community Kitchen. I work closely with the Executive Director to increase revenue in support of our humanitarian goals. Duties include donor management, community relations, public presentations, and grant/appeal writing. Accomplishments include: -Planned and executed successful fundraising event two years running; raised over $20,000 at each event-Assisted in the execution of a capital campaign for a new Community Kitchen, raising $645,000-Successfully raised $59,000 through grant proposals to private foundations and $60,000 from Skagit County

Process and track employee paperwork for medical benefits, 401(k), FMLA, and terminations. Facilitate company drug testing procedures, respond to employment security inquiries and employment verification requests, track employees with ADP, Quickbooks and hard-copy files. Answer main phone line, screen and transfer calls as appropriate, greet clients, sort and deliver mail as appropriate, organize office space and order office supplies, monitor parking lot payment box.

Responsible for recruitment throughout Washington State, guiding students through entire admissions process towards matriculation. Includes application, financial aid, course registration, tuition payments and enrollment. Duties performed at college fairs, high school presentations, individual meetings, and constant communication with prospective students via phone and email.

Showcase TWU campus to prospective students through campus tours. Contact students and prepare materials for individual visits and TWU preview events. Assist in execution of TWU preview events. Perform reception coverage on main multi-line phone and complete various office duties including report processing, data entry, filing, mailing, and office organization.

Designed and wrote monthly newsletter with Adobe InDesign for conditionally admitted students on academic probation. Sent weekly email homework updates.

Planned and led groups of campers through regular camp activities.
