I serve as the marketing lead for the University of Miami Sports Medicine Institute, UHealth cardiovascular services, which include cardiac surgery, cardiology, and vascular surgery. Service line support encompasses strategic market planning based on business goals supported by integrated social, digital, CRM, brand activation, communications and media relations strategies. I also lead the day-to-day relationship management for UHealth's sports partnerships with the Miami Dolphins/Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Marlins, and Hurricane Athletics.

Responsible for developing and executing integrated strategic marketing plans and campaigns, comprehensive public relations campaigns and community outreach initiatives in support of the strategic objectives of UF Health’s large and diverse cancer enterprise. Collaborated closely with the UF Health Cancer Center director and administrators, UF Health Academic Health Center administrators, business development, cancer service line directors and clinical administrators to maximize effectiveness of marketing and communications efforts and assure operational and marketing/communications priorities are aligned.

Served as managing editor for the college’s award-winning publications and associated Web-based and social media communications programs. Coordinated faculty op-ed placements closely aligned to social, political and legal topics in state and national news; wrote and edited national media releases; wrote speeches and developed presentations; and coordinated special events and other projects as necessary. Assisted in the management of the office and supervision/direction of professional and student communications staff.

Responsible for providing comprehensive public relations and communications services, including media relations, publications and marketing activities. Scouted and wrote national releases publicizing research and patient care achievements. Publications managed included the college’s website, the award-winning Gator Dentist Today alumni magazine in both print and online, Alumni e-Newsletter, the Dental Direct staff newsletter and the college’s annual reports.

Established and managed the division’s fledgling marketing program to serve a large and multi-faceted organization; developed and administered the marketing budget; conducted advertising and media planning; designed and produced collateral materials; managed employees; managed the design and maintenance of the division’s website; served on the division’s strategic planning committee and on the UF Recreational Sports Board.

Administered day-to-day operations and marketing efforts for a small business manufacturer/distributor of FDA-certified biometric equipment licensed from Johns Hopkins University and used to monitor core body temperatures of shuttle astronauts, including John Glenn during his STS-95 mission on space shuttle Discovery. Developed and implemented sales and marketing plan; planned advertising and media efforts; cultivated NASA, military and academic researchers; developed collateral materials, and; collaborated with engineering to develop grant proposals in response to Department of Defense and Small Business Innovation Research solicitations.
