I am part of the Health and Play Lab (https://sites.psu.edu/healthandplay/), which does human-computer interaction (HCI) research. Fundamentally, we explore how technologies could support people and communities to be healthier and more playful.As a member of the lab, I lead research on gig workers' self-tracking practices and also support other projects on video games and the privacy of feminine health technologies.

UXPH (https://uxph.org/) is the largest community of aspiring and practicing UX professionals in the Philippines. UXPH Research Team conducts studies to further understand and analyze the UX Design landscape within the Philippines.As Research Lead, I led a group of eighth researchers through the completion of the State of UX in the Philippines report, which aimed to capture a holistic picture of the growing UX practice in the Philippines. During that period, I also strategized how our team could best work remotely (and on volunteer time) across different time zones.

Kumu is a social networking service that mainly caters to the Philippine market and Filipinos distributed across the world. At Kumu, I spearheaded several projects for the Content Creator team. I frequently collaborated with other researchers and members of the team to develop studies that understood content creators on the platform.

Enderun Colleges (Taguig, Philippines) in partnership with the UX Design Institute (Dublin, Ireland) (https://www.uxdesigninstitute.com/) developed one of the first UX Certificate Courses in the Philippines.My role as UX Consultant included planning and leading lectures on the fundamentals of UX to a cohort of 13 students. I also took part in mentoring the same students on how they can transition into a career in UX in the Philippines and provided feedback on projects and portfolios.

The Liquid Studio Manila is pioneering Accenture Philippines' Research Team, where we utilize our resources and methodologies to deepen our client relationships and maximize our workshops. As a member of the pioneering team, I help in team development and skills building, in addition to the research that we conduct. We incorporated research practices to inform our design (UX) and design thinking workshop decisions.

As a Design Thinking Facilitator, I worked with clients and Accenture teams to plan more than 100 Design Thinking workshops. Workshop planning involved finding the best combination of design thinking methods to help clients reach their goals, and creating assets and organizing of virtual spaces to assist with remote sessions. The outcomes of these sessions would inform different decisions such as the north star for the year ahead or new ways of approaching stubborn problems.

As a Data Analyst and Matriculation Coordinator, I was in charge of tracking and recording attendance to all of the center's programs and events. I particularly helped with the data gathering, form and survey creation, cleaning up the data we currently had, and then the visualization of this data for further use. With the information gathered at these events, we would then generate a year-end report for the Office of the President along with our year-end budget proposal. These proposals and reports would then inform the following year's allocated budget and which programs would be continued.

Summer Summit is a week-long residential program for high school students from the Greater San Diego area. The program is an opportunity for students to engage in skill-building activities and learn more about the 4-year university admission process.As a Social Engagement Advisor for the program, I coordinated various social and wellness programs both for the staff and the students. These programs took some planning to ensure the inclusivity and enjoyment of everyone that would be joining in. Additionally, all staff on hand served as mentors and resources for each student that attended. As mentors, we offered advice on the college admission process and shared our own experiences as students in a 4-year university.

As Web and Marketing Coordinator, I was in charge of making sure all SPACES events and programs were visible to the UCSD community. I did this through managing all SPACES social media accounts including their website and making sure that all of our events reached the specific communities they targeted. My work on the website included updating all the information as needed and making sure that the information architecture of the site made it easy to navigate. I got feedback from coworkers and community members on the organization of the website and then made changed based on the information I received.

Makerspace Manila is a collaborative hub for making and learning, equipped with various tools like 3D printers and laser cutters. The company aimed to work with groups of hobbyists, tinkerers, inventors, and artists to combine and leverage skills and resources for hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) projects.As an intern at Makerspace Manila, I worked with a range of participant groups – from children as young as 5 years old to full-time working professionals in different industries. I taught workshops from basic robotics to design thinking, and through these have been able to work on both my people skills and teaching skills. I had the opportunity to practice my ideation, design thinking, and rapid prototyping skills as an intern by working on several workshops and events for the company. Events and programs I worked on are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Workshop for an elementary school, events and activities for the Nickelodeon Worldwide Day of Play, and different workshops held within the space.
