My research involved researching how people in an academic setting conduct research. The student before me developed the Research Maturity Levels model that reflects the process of academic research, and I made this into an online interface where researchers can enter their projects, fill in some information, and get a visualization of their progress. I taught myself HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, and Ruby on Rails. Using data acquired from the tool, I proposed changes to the model and to the online tool.

2.009 is a capstone mechanical engineering class at MIT, and I helped it function. Each week included photography, quiz grading, documentation, supporting skills workshops. Some weeks included learning Final Cut Pro to make end-of-semester video; fabricating 6' tall graduated cylinders from acetate film, green foam, and vinyl paint; writing a pun-filled Star Trek-themed script for the course theme reveal. 2.00b Toy Product Design is an introductory Product Design class at MIT. I planned, wrote and presented lectures on product design process, innovation, brainstorming, selecting ideas, sketching, prototyping, estimation, graphic design, storyboarding with a co-instructor. I organized and presented weekend workshops on Illustrator and Vinyl cutting, Analog and Digital electronics (including Arduino), PCB Design and Fabrication. In the shop, I replaced and repaired broken tools and used supplies. Near the end of the semester I finally mastered the art of making students clean up. Junior member of design team – brought parts through validation to final design then joined large format team in its early design phase to transfer knowledge from first product to the larger version of it• OfficeJet Pro 8600 series: owned 14 parts in the carriage subsystem; managed plastic, sheet metal, mylar parts through prototyping and testing phases to meet performance, assembly, environmental, cost requirements• DesignJet T520 Series: Designed new parts and assembly procedure for carriage positioning system that saved $7 on large format series (24”-36” width) due to lower material cost; Patent US 9,375,959: Locking Mechanism for an Encoder Strip• Created test scripts and flowcharts to identify root cause of carriage defects, speed up error debugging across multiple groups with new technicians

I have experience reverse engineering products for prototypes of integrated solutions for tactile feedback. I know how to FDM (Dimension machine) and have some machine shop experience to fab my own prototypes.I learned Agile and PDMWorks.

Research under Prof. Jerry Woodall on Hydrogen gas isolation/generation using water and an Al/Ga alloy
