As a Brand Ambassador, my responsibilities are three-fold:- Marketing. Including planning, executing and monitoring. Not all campaigns work and not all campaigns require the same effort and same channels. On top of that, I also create bilingual copywriting, Chinese and English, to publish via various channels, such as WeChat Pushes. Social media postings are also regularly maintained.- Public Relation. It may sound fancy, but significant amount of work and time are required to create and maintain a good relation with media, guests as well as any other stakeholders. After all, I'm a Brand Ambassador.- Events. Whether it's our own or private events, I tried to be there to make sure the guests have a wonderful time and "get their pickles". Meeting the guests to understand their needs without sacrificing our own standards and maintaining prompt communication with the guests to create positive word-of-mouth.- What else? We're growing and I'm just trying to catch up with the fast pace of my boss...

It’s All About People. It is true! No matter where we go; what we do, it is the people who are around us make things happen. Since I moved back, I have attended many networking events. Some are very good, but most of them are waste of money and most importantly, time. I am an open and outgoing person, so it is not an issue for me to initial conversations with strangers. However, I find it difficult to have an in-depth conversation with people I meet at bigger and more commercialized events. If collecting as many business cards as possible is the goal, then these type of events are the perfect place to achieve so.I believe that having quality conversations with someone we meet the first time is more important as this may lead to friendships or business opportunities or nothing at all. But it is much better than collecting a deck of business cards and forget about who these contacts are the next day. This is why I started IAAP, an intimate community where people can share their stories and inspire others.
