As an international student from Dubai currently pursuing a Bachelors in Criminology at Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, my academic journey is fuelled by a deep fascination with the complexities of the human mind and its intricate connection to criminal behavior. This passion drives my professional aspirations and my quest for hands-on experience in criminology and forensic sciences.My collaborations with the Dubai Police and internship at the Hemaya International Center have been pivotal, providing me with essential law enforcement skills and a practical perspective on crime prevention and community safety. These experiences have not only shaped my understanding of criminology but also solidified my commitment to making a difference in this field.At Loughborough University, I actively contribute to enhancing the academic experience for my peers as a course representative. In this role, I engage with students and faculty to address concerns, foster a supportive learning environment, and advocate for beneficial improvements.I also completed a transformative 12-month placement at The Pensions Regulator (TPR) in Brighton as a Front-Line Support Intern for the Relation Supervision Team. This role immersed me in administering pension schemes, decision-making processes, and even a recruitment panel. My dedication and hard work were consistently praised by my line managers, reflecting my ability to exceed expectations. This experience not only honed my communication skills through close collaboration with colleagues but also provided me with firsthand exposure to white-collar crimes such as pension scams and the regulation of pension schemes.I am eager to further develop my expertise and gain more practical experience in criminology and forensic sciences.
