My work is an unusual and joyous blend of design and events, whether that's creating lasting brand assets for a festival, or designing signage and user engagement at a venue. Spanning a variety of roles in a mix of industries my career history has a strong marketing, events and creative foundation, which I now use to focus on environmental and eco conscious projects and activism. I founded Lingo Design in 2005 offering Branding, Website & Graphic design and marketing to SMEs. Over the years we have refined our offering, favouring working for events, environmental projects and those with an ethical, community or pro-social angle - though we still care for the websites and marketing of many of the same customers we started with 16 years ago. I started volunteering with the Eco Warriorz in 2016 after seeing campsite waste at other events. I became a team leader shortly after, and in 2021, the organisation was adopted by Lingo Design. In 2022 the Eco Warriorz became a Community Interest Company, and now continue to grow in both reach and impact, with a full calendar of events and outreach activities.Rise & Shine - the mental health alarm clock app - is another 'passion project' of mine. Thanks to a successful Crowdfunding project, co-founder and friend Matt Searle and launched a free app available in both Apple store and on Google Play on World Mental Health Day 2022. All the brand, website and marketing graphics and UI are by Lingo Design.To take a break from graphic design I work on the festival circuit in various events roles such as:Customer Service Manager @ Snowboxx Festival, FranceCampsite Manager @ We Out Here Lavish Lands Manager @ Standon CallingArtist Liaison @ Shambala with Compass EventsVenue Manager @ Bestival with The People's Front Room...and many more (too many to list)!My first job, aged 16 was in customer service, working in a busy tearooms on Dartmoor - meaning I learned quickly how to deal positively with troublesome customers face-to-face, and that early foundation has stayed with me to this day. I enjoy the conversion of an issue to an accolade and greet everyone with a genuine smile and a grounded sense of joy in whatever I'm doing!
