My responsibilities involve: Marketing and Promotions• Support effective marketing decisions and engage with relevant social media trends, online campaigns and platforms to promote Institute offerings• Work alongside the Changemaking and Community Research Strategist to design and implement a communications strategy for the Institute• Streamline communication methods for engaging MRU faculty, students, studio members and the broader MRU Community Web and Social Media Management• Enhance and manage the Institute’s online presence, including but not limited to, updating the Institute website, managing social media platforms (Twitter, online newsletter, MailChimp and other e-materials and publications)• Create new ideas and methods to maximize the Institute’s online presence and marketing efforts• Develop and/or identify metrics to measure the Institutes’s communications effectiveness, including website and social media engagement

My responsibilities are creating a marketing and promotion plan ready for the Banff Systems Summit 2025 and Map the System Canada 2025 (both across Canada and on MRU campus), enhancing the website, preparing blogs and social media content leading up to and following the public launch of the new System-thinking Guide, the Canadian Map the System Final.

I led Map the System's promotions (both across Canada and on MRU campus), preparing blogs and social media content. My role also encompassed content creation, spanning blogs, social media updates, and video production, alongside devising communication strategies.

I am continuing the Scoping Review Study of Social Media in Undergraduate Learning at the University of Calgary. Under guidance of Dr. Smith and Librarian Hayman, my duties and responsibilities will include things such as:• Screening abstracts and full texts using Covidence for potential inclusion in a journal article.• Helping review or design research materials.• Analyzing research data (qualitative or quantitative).• Assisting with the development or testing of research tools or software.• Sharing research findings online (e.g., on a website or social media).• Contributing to written or visual presentation materials and other publication or dissemination efforts.

The research project was the Scoping Review Study of Social Media in Undergraduate Learning. As part of a collaborative effort to develop a sustainable virtual Planetary Health series of modules via a Planet Health Repository at Mount Royal University, I had the opportunity to work under the guidance of Dr. Sonya Jakubec and Dr. Joanna Szabo, collaborating with other experts in the field. Our goal is, through cross-disciplinary collaboration and attention to detail, to create a user-friendly and visually appealing platform that effectively showcased the wealth of resources and information available through the Planetary Health Repository. My roles:• Logo Designer: I have designed and created a logo for the hub. • Marketing Supporter: during the first phase, I developed an online survey to gain insights into the target audience's needs, preferences, and feedback on the initial appearance of the hub• Website Design Assistant: Working with the site developer and content creator, I have contributed my market research to designing effective layouts and organization of the hub.

I had the pleasure of performing as a solo singer at West Gate Social's Live Music Thursday on three separate occasions, each time delivering a two-hour performance that included 20 songs. My performances featured a combination of prepared and downloaded background music, as well as piano accompaniment.In front of an audience of approximately 50-60 people, I was able to showcase my vocal abilities and connect with listeners through my selection of songs and engaging stage presence. I took great care to tailor my performances to the crowd, choosing songs that were both familiar and appealing to the audience.Throughout my performances, I maintained a high level of professionalism and dedication, putting in the time and effort necessary to prepare for each show and deliver a polished and engaging performance. My ability to connect with the audience and deliver a memorable musical experience earned me positive feedback from both listeners and event organizers.My experience as a solo singer at West Gate Social's Live Music Thursday has allowed me to develop my skills as a performer, connect with new audiences, and contribute to the vibrant music scene in my community. I look forward to continuing to pursue my passion for music and sharing my talents with others in the future.

As a shift manager at McDonald's, I played a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during my shifts. My responsibilities included overseeing a team of up to 10 employees, ensuring that all tasks were completed on time and to a high standard, maintaining a positive and productive work environment, and being in charge of consistently updating the restaurant’s menu prices.Some of my key accomplishments during my time at McDonald's are winning the Fastest Drive-thru Award in Calgary of the year, achieving a Skip score of 9.9, improving efficiency and reducing waste in our food preparation processes. By implementing new training procedures and streamlining workflows, I significantly reduced wait times for customers in the drive-thru and increased customer satisfaction.In addition, I am responsible for handling customer complaints and ensuring that all issues are resolved quickly and to the customer's satisfaction. Through careful communication and a focus on problem-solving, I maintain a high level of customer service even during busy periods.Used to be a crew trainer, I also played a key role in formal training and orientations of 5 new employees and other informal training and support of other crews. By providing guidance and support, I am able to help new team members quickly become productive and confident in their roles.The valuable skills I gained are leadership, communication, problem-solving, customer service, and working in a fast-paced environment. These skills have proven invaluable in my subsequent roles, and I am proud of the contributions I was able to make to the success of the restaurant during my time there.

As a member of a collaborative team of three at Voco, an innovative business offering a social networking platform, I played a key role in addressing complex business challenges and bringing innovative ideas to life.Working closely with my team members, I conducted 5 customer discoveries and in-depth analysis, staying up-to-date with industry trends and identified opportunities for growth. I also developed and implemented effective solutions of that improved the platform's functionality and user experience, as shown in the mockup below. Throughout my time working with Voco's founder, I demonstrated strong teamwork and communication skills, working seamlessly with colleagues to achieve our shared goals. I also leveraged my creativity and analytical abilities to generate unique insights and ideas that drove innovation and helped to position the company for long-term success.

As a waitress at Guildford Sushi House, I consistently provided exceptional customer service by utilizing effective communication and active listening skills. I collaborated closely with the chefs and management to ensure that all guests received high-quality meals and an enjoyable dining experience.My responsibilities included: 1. provide the perfect service experiences for customers, 2. organize customers' seatings, 3. present menu, answer questions, and apply a positive suggestive sales approach to guide guests, 4. assist in keeping the restaurant clean and safe, 5. coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver accurate food ordersMy time at the restaurants has equipped me with strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to all guests. As a result, I demonstrated my skills of excellent customer service, verbal communication, attention to detail, sell-to customer needs, teamwork, and social perceptiveness. These skills have proven valuable in my role and can be applied in a variety of settings.
