M.Arch Vu Linh Quang is a sustainable design architect, researcher and educator in Architecture and Sustainable Building with a particular focus in residential and commercial projects. He gains empirical knowledge and practical experience through education background in Australia where green practices and Green Star rating tools are well-known, and BIM technology from University College of Northern Denmark as the Research Associate and Further Education Manager of BIM Technology Unit.Quang has been dedicated to sustainability and green architecture since he started the Master of Architecture at the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2008. His work has been within architectural design consultancy services, green design projects for tall office buildings, residential, mixed use developments, and master planning mostly in Vietnam. Some recent achievements including the 1st pilot building for Vietnam energy efficiency building code (QCVN 09:2013) and EDGE certificate (IFC, WorldBank), and 1st state owned building targeting for LOTUS Gold in Ho Chi Minh City. His strength are also company organization and management with 5 years of work experience as an Assistant Director for recently awarded the BCI Asia Awards “Top Ten 2015 Architects - Vietnam”. In addition, Quang is an active organizer/speaker on promoting green design initiatives to raise the public awareness in diverse sectors including university, government and private. His goal is to make Vietnam becomes the key destination for sustainable building practices in South East Asia, and a greener living environment for its society. He is currently a Vice President of HCMC Green Architecture Club, Southern Regional Coordinator for Vietnam Green Building Council and EDGE Excellent for Design in Greater Efficiency, IFC, WorldBank, Advisory Board Member.
