One thing most people say that stands out about me is my dedication towards anything I do. I have been playing instruments for almost ten years and have done marching band for 5 years and have achieved a significant amount of awards in the time being. Being in a band of about two hundred to four hundred students may not seem like the most fun activity to do for some, but being in a close-knit community in which you are surrounded by your peers and people you look up to where you can have fun and perform one of your greatest passion for thousands of people to see is exactly the thing I wanted to do.Maintaining a marching band is no easy task. In order to be the marching band a marching band can be, everyone needs to be focused and be truly there for everything, whether it is a simple warmup or a full-blown performance. Members of a marching band have to have endurance and strength so that they can maximize both the quality of their playing and the rhythm in their feet. In a marching band, everybody has to be doing the same thing and maintain uniformity, if even a single person moves when they are not supposed to it could ruin the whole show.To explain in a single sentence why I love and appreciate the art of the marching band, it takes time and training to become truly good at something, and marching band has taught me that.
