*Giving people access to information they need to know in an engaging way*Recently completed a Masters in Science and Technology studies to assist with my vision to communicate about science and be a bridge between researchers and the public. I have worked on various science communication and public engagement projects in the past year, also attending workshops and summer schools to further build my skills. I also keep up my writing and creative direction through my projects with Creative Contracts and other clients, creating guides on various topics such as business training, guide to writing industry reports, sustainability guides etc.Working in the communications industry, my most senior role was directing a team of writers, illustrators, designers and animators to simplify and visualise complex content for efficient engagement with workforces through the medium of comics and animations. Responsibilities include ✯creative direction, ✯quality control, ✯project and client management, and ✯overseeing production. I’ve worked with global clients, including Anglo American, Skanska, Lendlease, Gammon, Bouygues, Murphy USA, Siemens and Morgan Sindall, by directing and editing Jincom’s work to deliver high quality and award-winning work. Our engaging solutions meet their workforce communication needs. Things that engage me: ► The power of art and visual thinking to communicate with a purpose. ► Learning more about any topic, be it sustainability practices, health science (e.g. antimicrobial resistance), legal contracts, health and safety standards, or financial inclusion. ► Getting to grips with complex information and finding ways to simplify and visualise it. ► Coming up with solutions that have a practical applicationHighlights include my work with Creative Contracts who developed one of the world’s first legally accepted comic contracts to communicate almost all key concepts visually. I’m also proud of managing 3 big safety campaigns for Anglo American that was distributed world-wide, including client management, production management, scripting and giving technical and creative input on the final products.
