I have recently been hired by Buckeye Power Sales to assist in Sales Support/Estimating and Quoting. After working in outside sales for the past 3 1/2 years, I know all too well how busy sales reps are, and the importance of great support staff.

Established and maintained high profile accounts, resulting in tops sales figures for my region since early, 2010. Efforts included: working directly with my clients to improve on communication and quality control, resulting in the opportunity to work with accounts that were hard to obtain from our largest competitors. This was done by creating relationships and delivering on expectations that were set with quick and efficient service. Maintained control under high pressure situations and adapted quickly to different circumstances. Recently I was asked to take on my own territory and office in Covington, KY and rebuild that market. I worked directly with my clients, large and small, on each and every project and communicated their needs to each department within my company to assure the project was on point from beginning to end, from the conception to final close out documentation. This set me apart from my colleagues, and my clients truly appreciated the support and follow through.

I was hired to take on the special challenge of auditing several large projects ($5,000,000 and higher) to find out why the company was losing money, and where. Worked directly with the accounting staff to recognize and put processes in place and educate going forward. Prior to leaving, I was promoted to the role of the Construction Controls Coordinator, where I worked with the account managers to budget projects on the front end, and to keep them on target during the construction process.

Rebuilt the company’s accounting system, and saved the owner from having to rebuild their database. Worked directly with the senior estimators and learned construction from the ground up. Handled all office responsibilities, including filing all notices to protect the company’s investment, and working with the manufacturers to assure that all product ordered on each project was delivered in a timely manner. Had the fortune to work on some of the most influential projects in the Grand Rapids area, including the Steelcase Pyramid, The Van Andel Arena, and many others. Developed and maintained special spreadsheets for spiral duct ordering that saved our estimators valuable time and money. Learned to estimate sheet metal and helped our team meet important deadlines, therefore increasing our net worth.
