I worked there 7 years, I started as HR Manager and I have been promoted to HR Director when American Express increased my responsibilities adding a third business to supervise. This new business (foreign exchange offices in Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports) was a huge challenge and gave me an opportunity to deal with very tough situations: denunciation and revision of new agreements (working time, compensation & benefit) dealing and negotiating with several Unions and participation of the dismantling of network of employees stealing Company assets. For the different Companies I was supervising my main responsibility was to reach and maintain positive relationships with Unions, works-council, Employee representatives and Health and safety committee, not allowing enough time for Talent Management role. Nevertheless during the 7 years I have been able to get used to state of the art HR tools and programs such as 360° feedback, Performance Management Programs and succession planning, Employee Opinion Survey etc…and to conclude a "training agreement" with Unions to stimulate Employee self development.
