About Roger Miller

As a Vistage Chair, my job is to question a leader’s answers; not provide the answers. My job is to understand the potential and power that emerges when fifteen or more bright, articulate, committed and successful leaders focus their attention on growing their businesses. It’s simple, not easy. But when they do the work and then step back to see how their businesses thrive in new ways, it’s a win for everyone. The executive leaders I have the opportunity to work with every day think differently and are driven to be better. Whether it’s through becoming a larger company, pivoting their businesses in an overly competitive industry, becoming more profitable, disrupting the old-guard or becoming a better father, husband or friend, is for them to decide. I bring them together, facilitate and help them hold one another accountable. With more than thirty years of experience as a coach and mentor to CEOs, I come prepared with vast strategy and operational improvement consultant experience. Whether as Corporate VP and Managing Director of La-Z-Boy International or starting and growing my own organizations, I have helped some of America’s best-known companies, like Lowe’s Home Improvement Centers, Dover Elevator, and others, create and implement winning strategies that propelled them to the top of their industries. In every high-performing team I’ve led, we worked first to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the group and encourage everyone to play to those strengths while covering the gaps for each member.I learn by listening. I always seek to be approachable and earn the trust of every leader I work with. I enjoy a good laugh, and serve my members and clients, and their executives and employees, with the same level of commitment I did long ago at West Point.
