Took over failed to deliver projects from incumbent team to successfully implement projects to deliver solutions that cater to the needs of the client, the business process and capability of the team and restored client confidence who started paying and awarding more projects to the team. I took over as the system architect and technical lead of the team to restructure the existing modernization development team and application design using Agile SDLC methodologies and tools. Implemented layered architecture for developing flexible design and implementation. Designed repeatable CI processes leveraging devsecops tools to streamline and agile deployment. The modernization of the legacy application involved translation of around 20 modules that included over 500 web pages and several complex front end and back end business logic that had no or very little documentation. The modernized architecture comprised of a Layered architectural pattern using J2EE 1.8 technologies built using the JSF web based MVC framework complimented with a rich UI framework using Primefaces and Bootfaces. By modernizing and translating to JAVA/JEE eliminated security loopholes from ColdFusion code where hidden variables, SQL injection and other OWASP vulnerabilities were evident. Designed application scaffolding and build using maven framework to leverage the automation capability of Postal Devsecops using Jenkins. Established a robust Program level Branching and deployment strategy to implement a Continuous Integration and Deployment that spanned across 5 different teams comprised of over 40-member team.

Implemented better tracking to preserve Artwork assets for Postal that are vintage and worth millions of dollars by eliminating manual paperwork. Designed the data for the Historic and Artwork module to capture several data points like Historic nature, Native American heritage, National Historic Register parameters, tracking historic correspondences with the registrar, Historic characteristics, Artwork categorization based on various types, Artwork tracking based on location, on loan etc. Implemented a JSF dashboard to track potential historic properties, Artwork Loan renewal dates, cumulative costs of the Historic properties based on energy and maintenance. Implemented a flagship module called FIT, an IPAD/Web application to facilitate Postal facility inspections for proper maintenance of the facility to prevent safety hazards. FIT application implemented to track facility inspectors’ work by tracking their GEO location of the facility they inspect. IPad application implementation leveraged Postal mobile solutions built as a Cordova app. The fundamental application architecture implementation was an Angular JS based MVC framework that included an SPA framework implementation to cater responsiveness of the IPAD app.The original implementation of the FIT project was unusable by the inspectors in production due to numerous scalability issues prior to my leading the project. Management decided to bring me in to lead the team to take the FIT project from RED to Green. Steered the project to green by implementing better application design by reducing unnecessary asynchronous calls, reduced cumbersome application design and implementing better debugging capabilities.

Working for HPE Inc., designed a module called RAMPO that USPS used to better track rents paid by renters for owned/leased USPS facilities to capture delinquent payments by renters there by averting losses for US Postal. Designed the data model for a Leasing document management library to dynamically generate PDF documents from user input integrated with pre-defined lease language data stored in the system. The PDF generation implementation used technologies iText, Flying saucer and HTML to PDF generation to maximize dynamic document generation. Lead a development team of four to implement a unique Contract documents library module called eDCCS library using Java, JSP and JQuery technologies. Implemented solutions using JAVA, spring MVC framework, JQuery, IBM WebSphere using J2EE technology stack. Implemented architectural patterns like Domain model and Service Layer to decouple the complex database intensive logic in the Facilities Management System application from the View layer.
