Consultant during start up phase of Sliperiet: By the Umeå River, in the centre of the Umeå Arts Campus, an old wood grinding mill and former art school has been stripped out and kitted out to comprise: - Maker spaces and FabLab with new technology related to design, architecture, media, games, film, prototyping, art and fashion - An incubator and work space for the creative industries.- An innovation centre for researchers, students, businesses and public stakeholders- Flexible and open meeting spaces for thinkers and makers The buildings’ new life will connect with its’ past in manufacturing and creativity but be future proofed as a flexible space designed to take on the evolving challenges and needs of not only the Arts Campus (with their schools in Architecture, Fine Art and Design) but the whole university and the region. It will support prototyping, visualisation, sharing and commercialisation of ideas. At the heart of the enterprise lies an aspiration to become a unique, truly transdisciplinary, institution of creativity.

Vehicle for collaborative design in textiles, accessories.

Responsible for design and development of the Enterprise & Entrepreneurship courses at Ravensbourne. Teaching innovation, marketing, business & entrepreneurship to design and media undergraduates and MA students. Encouraging, supporting and mentoring entrepreneurs.Working in collaboration with a large number of businesses and entrepreneurs to deliver mutually rewarding collaborations and partnerships between Ravensbourne and the creative industry. This includes setting up live projects for students, match making students with business mentors and engaging entrepreneurs and thought leaders in course seminars and extra curricular activity.

Launched delivery of Enterprise & Entrepreneurship course and designed new units for validation 2011-12 and full roll out 2012-13.Taught undergraduates at all levels and from all disciplines.

Schmäck was founded as a meeting place for creatives in the centre of Umeå. The coffee shop was the heart of the enterprise and was the first commercial café in Sweden to sell exclusively fair trade coffee (at a time when the general public were unaware of the concept). Aside from the café, we also ran exhibitions and established our own brand of jewellery, showed art, provided a stage for established as well as up and coming musicians and at one time had an additional premise down the road where we sold vintage clothes, independent labels and limited editions as well as furniture and interior products in collaboration with an antiques dealer. Schmäck continued after I left until 2013.
