Designed a wearable device that facilitates rescue efforts during and after disasters caused by natural hazards. The FindMe Tag project was carried out in collaboration with Sony and UNOPS S3I Global Innovation Center Sweden.For the project I was granted the Crafoord Foundation Scholarship to conduct user research in Antigua & Barbuda, hosted by the local UNOPS Science and Innovation Center. Antigua & Barbuda is strongly affected by annual hurricanes and the 2017 hurricane Irma devastated the island of Barbuda, leaving it uninhabitable. The user research included immersion and observations, interviews with state officials and experts and focus groups with civilians with personal experience from hurricanes and flooding.

10 participants were selected to pitch a digital business solution solving a societal challenge.I pitched a digital solution for non-medical aid for elderly and disabled. The solution connects the wristband alarms for elderly and disabled with an application for volunteers allowing for faster help with simple and unforeseen tasks like opening jar lids, resulting in a reduced burden on home care services and caregivers.
