As a radiation therapist, I am passionately dedicated to the treatment of patients with various forms of cancer, utilizing specialized radiation and imaging techniques to provide precise and personalized care.My current focus is on the preparatory phase of treatments, where I am responsible for conducting planning-CT-scans and creating photon and electron radiation plans for our linear accelerators. In addition, I work in brachytherapy, applying internal radiation techniques to treat tumors from within. I am also involved in Orthovoltage radiation therapy, a method specifically aimed at treating skin cancers with low-energy radiation.Beyond my clinical work, I have a strong passion for research. I am always seeking opportunities to improve the quality of care and plan to delve further into scientific research in my field. I closely follow the latest developments and am a strong advocate for incorporating new technologies to further optimize radiation therapies. Furthermore, I have a keen interest in working internationally, contributing to the advancement of my field beyond my homecountry, the Netherlands.My goal is to provide the most effective treatment possible while making the experience as comfortable as possible for the patients in our department.
