As the Principal of a PreK-6th grade elementary school, I have the honor of being an instructional leader for an excelling community. I have several responsibilities in my current role: Instructional Leader Equity Lens/Voice Parent Engagement Provider PTA Member School Site Council Leader ELAC/DLAC Co-leader Staff Leader/Collaborator Educator Support Provider Professional Development Facilitator Data Monitor Uplifter...(I have your back...we are here our the children!) And many other responsibilities that support our learning community.I love my job!

As the Program Manager for Early Childhood Education in one of the largest districts in the states, I had the privilege of working alongside various stakeholders to ensure the highest quality of teaching for our youngest learners. In this role, I was responsible for providing educators and schools the tools necessary to ensure effective instruction. I provided professional development for educators, met regularly with parents, and lead our Staff & Parent Advisory Committee. In addition, I took an active role within the leadership team meetings and various committees. I am a proactive leader that believes in a shared vision. I constantly strive to do what is best for all children and families.

Greater San Diego Area

I served as co-leader at a K-8 school. I had the honor of serving students, parents, staff, and various stakeholders. In my roll, I was able to support student achievement, advocate for student/family needs, support school operations, be an instructional leader, co-teach, model lessons, and evaluate staff. I was a key member of RTI and Special Education meetings. In addition, I was the English Language Learner coordinator, testing coordinator, and facilitated professional development for teachers and parents. I enjoyed making connections with students, staff and families. I believe that a climate of collaboration and support benefits everyone.

As a literacy support teacher, I supported staff and parents in various ways. I planned Professional Development for teachers and parents. I supported the shift to Common Core Standards and a more rigorous curriculum. I was also the English Language Learners coordinator and Assessments coordinator. In addition, I wrote grants and created meaningful partnerships to help support our students' well-being and academic achievement.

As a lead teacher in grades ranging from Kindergarten - eighth, I was able to create a positive learning environment for students that was full of rigor, scaffolds, collaboration, and agency. Students knew that I had high expectations and they always met them. I had the honor of working with all types of learners; new comers, ELLs, students with special needs, GATE students, and students with various obstacles that knew they were safe in our classroom. As a lead teacher I was able to advocate for our students with parents, in Student Site Council, SGT, IEP meetings, ILT and ASB.
