Assistant Director
CurrentAssists in the management of all programs administered by the Department, including Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC), Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC), Food Stamps and Employment Services within the communities served by the TAO. Ensures eligibility benefits for all Department programs are processed in a timely manner to comply with Department policy, court orders, and timely services to clients incorporating good customer service objectives. Assists in the strategic development, implementation and evaluation of new business practices. Assists in developing and maintaining community relationships for the purpose of achieving the agency mission. Ensures staff for all programs has an opportunity for professional development and job satisfaction, with consistent evaluations based upon their performance. Plans, controls and executes priority work assignments of eligibility staff to assure compliance with goals, objectives and priorities established by the Department. Directs and supervises the administrative functions of the Transitional Assistance Office. Develops and coordinates plans for adequate staffing of the Transitional Assistance Office. Evaluates the needs of the area office and develops plans in regard to personnel, equipment, space and supplies. Responsible for processing and coordinating all personnel changes with the Human Resources Liaison Unit. Responsible for the data processing within the Transitional Assistance Office. Maintains employee performance and attendance records. Performs related administrative work.
