 Quality checks for Gridcasting: Analyzing alloy samples with OES( Optical Emission Spectrometer). Auditing grid piles for imperfections that are acceptable, as well as outside of specifications. Checking ladle temperature and pot temperatures. Red tagging non-conforming product and placing on hold until receiving further instructions. Quality checks for Fill, Form, and Finish: Checking acid gravities and temperature. Making sure materials used are within specifications on the first piece, proper materials used, proper racking, temperature, batteries, tanks, and accessories. Checking for leaks, improper set up, calibration checks for machines. Researching and reporting proper protocol for events or problems that are outside of specifications. Red tagging out of specification materials and dispositioning decisions or instructions on a case by case basis. Communicating with operators, leaders and coworkers when necessary. Building rapport with operators and leaders to keep communication open. Communicating with programs such as IPIR, RedTag, and our inventory programs Mainframe and Glovia.
