Employed in the position as Digital Solutions Project Facilitator my role is to manage all projects coming through the team on behalf of inter-company clients and external clients, I do this through developing strong and collaborative working relationships resulting in successfully delivery and clients that are keen to work with us on future projects. Working closely with the creative team to ensure full visibility and transparency developing critical path schedules to support the client in achieving their deadlines, and ongoing monitoring of project costs. Following completion of projects, I liaise with the client to undertake a project review discussing the success or improvements required to further improve future collaborations.

This position has seen me develop strong relationships with customers by managing their artwork portfolio to ensure all artworks are developed and delivered within the specific timings to meet deadlines to the printer. Not meeting these deadlines will jeopardise the products featuring within shops therefore losing the customer vast amounts of money. I work on various systems unique to Trident and the customer as well as Microsoft Office using Word and Excel. I have developed spreadsheets that have improved our method of recording information, and have also improved the service to our customer. I have also enjoyed the opportunity to liaise with customers face to face as well as via telephone and email, to do this I have travelled locally within Hull, the UK and also to Rome and Geneva.

Within Smith & Nephew I worked as a Data Co-ordinator within Data Management in the AWC area of the company. This was a position I greatly enjoyed as the clinical trial aspect was very interesting. Working in this position gave me the opportunity to develop my skills in creating databases, this involved using software specific to the company, but I also greatly improved my skills using Microsoft Word, as we used this software to create forms that were used and completed in hospital trials.

Managing the Short Course portfolio at East Riding College gave me more skills dealing with the customer however this time it was both companies and working with the public through day-to-day calls and email correspondence. I was responsible for putting together the short course provision for the year at the college which was featured in the prospectus, this required reporting skills as I needed to review the previous year and the success of each course within the college making the decisions which courses were more popular, re-pricing courses accordingly and using my initiative to develop and design marketing materials to give offers on courses. I was also responsible for liaising and managing the tutor’s diaries to ensure they were available to deliver the courses on the required dates, and also for checking and monitoring the numbers booked onto on courses to ensure any low numbers were rescheduled to different dates.
