Responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies, and procedures, and as directed by the Administrator. The Social Services Director interacts with the residents, families, visitors, other facility staff, and community agencies during the admission and discharge process the Director interacts with residents, families, visitors, other facility staff

Responsible for the overall leadership and management of location, including meeting established goals and outcomes, ensuring regulatory and organizational compliance, directing and coordinating work, financial and operational stability and demonstrating leadership. Creates and maintains a culture of safety for employees and residents. Assigns responsibility for the daily management of infection prevention and control activities. Responsible for ensuring a quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) program is available. Proactively communicates any necessary changes, issues and/or concerns to residents, families and staff. Responds quickly and openly to resident needs and ensures they are being met by self or others.

Also will aid in providing the best possible care to residents by teaching and helping staff better understand the resident in relation to his/her social and emotional environment.

Responsible for assisting the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in fulfilling the objectives and mission of the chamber and to act as the liaison for the Chamber with other organizations, chamber membership, staff and the community

Lead and oversee all operations related tasks involved in training / event execution, including budgeting, financial planning, strategic staffing and customer communication. Management of logistics for events, and trainings to help support Hazelden Betty Ford Publishing Departments educational training. Department billing, trainer support, travel planning, reimbursements, and product ordering.

Conduct screening to determine clinical and financial fit for Hazelden Betty Ford substance abuse services. Create a client/customer focused experience for all clients/referent/customers seeking Hazelden Betty Ford services. Facilitate the intake process from the initial response to a request through the admissions process to ensure appropriate treatment for all potential clients. Facilitate and demonstrate communication of patient information in order to represent accurately the progress of patients according to internal/external standards.

Conduct telephone interviews with former Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation patients, family members and professional referents to provide data for clinical research projects. Keeping accurate records within client charts in SRS and Sequest medical software as well as accurate Excel spreadsheet for client data.Conducting all follow up surveys for the Betty Ford Center. Facilitating Pre and Post student counseling videos in the Hazelden Graduate School with on-line learning students.
