Volunteer Co-DirectorThe Berkeley Project Jan 2016 - Dec 2016Uc BerkeleyThe Berkeley Project is the largest student-run service organization on the UC Berkeley campus. Every semester, we send 1,500+ volunteers out into the Berkeley community to volunteer at 50+ sites on a single day (BP Day) and save the city hundreds of thousands of dollars with one day of service, ranging from beautifying the Berkeley neighborhoods to cleaning up residencies. As Volunteer co-director, I am in charge of a 6-person committee, selecting and training 100+ site leaders who are responsible for leading a group of volunteers to and from the site on BP Day, and sorting 2,000+ volunteers into different groups depending on their preference and the size of each site. I work closely with 18 other directors who are part of Core, the primary leadership of Berkeley Project, to keep our website updated (berkeleyproject.org), make sure we recruit enough volunteers, and get a fitting number of sites for BP Day. -
