I am an alum of the Colorado School of Mines with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. I worked at the Mines Museum of Earth Science between March of 2019 and early 2022, where I honed my customer service, sales, and tourist relations skills. I returned from a study abroad session in Japan in May of 2021. The session lasted from January to April of 2021, and had me living in the heart of Tokyo. While I was there, I learned a lot about how the US public transportation systems could be improved to build a more connected, less polluting, and more modern society. I also learned how the culture of Japan has led their society to be much more advanced and functional than that of the US, as everyone thinks of their actions and how they affect others rather than themselves. During the Summer and Fall of 2022, I was an intern in the Asset Management Department of CDOT, where I learned the inner workings of a transportation department and worked with the design and maintenance of bridges and culverts. I am currently working as a civil engineer in training at Wilson and Co., with the transportation division designing transportation infrastructure. My current career end goal is to work in the transit/transportation industry abroad, but I am taking life in with open arms!
