Created consumer anti-spam product for Outlook and Outlook Express. First version shipped in March 2003. Qurb Anti-Spam won numerous awards for effectiveness and ease of use including PC Magazine Editors' Choice three consecutive years. Qurb was acquired by Computer Associates in 2005.

Drove the initial business and product plans. Designed and implemented the first version of the AvantGo browser for the Palm Pilot. Led the port to the RIM Blackberry. Led the design and implementation of the My AvantGo mobile internet service and recruited the initial set of content partners. AvantGo went public in 2000 and was acquired by Sybase in 2003.

Designed and implemented parts of Netscape's Internet Foundation Classes, a Java library encompassing everything from user interface classes to object serialization to storage to low level data structures and algorithms. Netscape's IFC was merged with Sun's AWT to become the Java Foundation Classes.

Developed parts of a user interface toolkit for Java applications. Netcode was acquired by Netscape in 1996.

Designed and implemented parts of NeXT's Enterprise Objects Framework. EOF was an Objective-C toolkit for mapping objects to relational databases. Responsible for the Oracle adaptor, design of the low level storage APIs, and the Makefiles. The new guy always gets the Makefiles.

Provided computer support to visiting mathematicians and students.
