• As the chief data architect and tech lead for the Enterprise DataBase (EDB) project of a P&C insurance project, provided data solutions for their enterprise OLTP system’s data repository that replaced legacy systems.• On the conceptual level, used the top-down design principles to simplify the overall EDB design, achieved superb flexibility and extensibility, and with greatly reduced system complexity, which resulted in shorter development and test cycles for both database backend and application frontend layers, hence reduced overall project development costs, and future maintenance costs as well.• Processed and analyzed requirements from SMEs; coordinated with other teams on designs and activity planning.• Designed and implemented enterprise data architecture, define data processes, and provide data solutions for normalized OLTP, while laying foundation for future dimensional OLAP.• Improved the design and performance of the backend database repository of the National Transit project for FTA (Federal Transit Administration), Department of Transportation. Worked in partnership with Business and IT at a major global financial institution to build a consolidated Retail and Wholesale Analytical Portfolio data warehouse supporting Consumer Finance, Account, Customer Analytics, and Credit & Risk Analytics for Consumer and Business banking sectors. This enterprise system will enable analytical models for risk strategy setting including risk rating and quantification, cross-sell measurement, and portfolio management/execution functions and empower underwriting department to make approval decisions in their loan portfolio. Analyzed and managed financial data quality/cleansing processes in data integration work, performed mapping and ETL process tasks. Contributed to data model revision process. My work helped to lay a solid foundation for the successful completion of the project.

In charge of backend data management related design and development.• Managed, designed and implemented the data solution for Libretto system. Performance tests and tuning.• Designed and implemented a prototype for Net Mediator, a key component of Libretto. Net Mediator analyses and aggregates raw data into a concentrated and refined form that is more palatable for network billing, services and various data analyses. • Analyzed network traffic data en massy in search of user usage and traffic patterns. This work directly resulted in significant improvement on the abstract data model and real-time network usage monitoring and billing structures.

• Designed and implemented the process flow and some of the interactive financial service call center systems and their underlying financial data model, database design, and application components.• Designed and implemented the Small Business Loan Application system overhaul.• Led the Y2K project that was delivered satisfactorily two week ahead of schedule.
