I help expecting parents advocate for themselves and maximize their benefits when they welcome a child into their family. But I haven't always been a parental leave consultant. It was not even on my radar until I had my daughter in December 2020. I had been working at my dream job, but only a few weeks after returning to work from my own parental leave, I ended up quitting. Being a working mom of a newborn and toddler in the middle of a global pandemic became too much.
