AIRBUS X-WING is a flight demonstrator of the future Airbus high performance wing. It will accelerate and validate several technologies (active wing tip, multi-functional trailing edges, LIDAR…) which are enablers to active control (maneuver load alleviation, gust load alleviations, flutter control …). Significant steps in performance will be achieved through overall wing optimisation, and higher aspect ratio.
