My practice has special emphasis in family law matters involving complex property characterizations, property and business valuations, income attribution relative to child and spousal support as well as tracing issues. Under my supervision of the Procopio law firm's Family Law Practice Group, we have successfully represented our clients in all aspects of family law matters, including child custody, visitation and move-away proceedings. I have an extensive background in both business and family law litigation, and have represented clients in proceedings throughout California and in Texas, Virginia, Wyoming and New York. I have successfully presented appeals on behalf of clients in California’s Second and Fourth Appellate Districts. I am admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Central Districts of California, the Southern District of Texas and the Southern District of New York. I have also served as a Court appointed Discovery Referee, and as a mediator. Prior to my legal career, I served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972.
