My name is Liron Elraviv, and I am currently a second year Brain & Mind honors scholar at Reichman University studying Psychology. I am passionate about the many vast aspects of the brain, and recently have been particularly interested in the Mirror Neuron System (MNS), as well as the integration of psychedelics in treatment. In the future, I hope to further explore my interests by going into research, and making my contribution to the world in the psychopathological field.Currently, I’m gaining valuable hands-on experience as a part-time lab assistant in the Neuroscience of Psychopathology Lab under Dr. Rany Abend, as well as at the Ivcher Institute for Brain, Cognition & Technology, directed by Professor Amir Amedi. These roles have allowed me to immerse myself in the practical aspects of neuroscience research, sharpening my skills and deepening my understanding of the field. Involvement in these labs includes research in chronic pain, anxiety & ptsd, and treatment using MDMA.Outside of academics, I’m a long-time soccer enthusiast and a dedicated Bayern Munich supporter. My years of playing travel soccer at the highest levels, often as team captain, have sharpened my leadership skills and taught me the importance of initiative and teamwork—qualities that I carry into every aspect of my life. Whether in the classroom, on the soccer field, or in the lab, I strive for excellence and approach every challenge with passion and dedication.
