Thesis: functional optoacoustic neuro-tomography in the mouse brain in vivo. A novel noninvasive technique for imaging calcium dynamics deep inside the brain.• Experienced in the use of several imaging systems (2P microscope, optoacoustic tomography).• Conducted in-vivo research using the mouse model, including experimental design, system integration, execution and data analysis. • Set up a state-of-the-art optoacoustic tomography system with the remote support of our collaborators, debugged and customized it to my experimental requirements.• Acquired optoacoustic and fluorescent signals from the cortex of anesthetized mice during natural visual stimulation.• Developed an analysis pipeline for studying functional optoacoustic transients in the mouse brain.• Applied signal and image processing for analysis and data visualization.• Provided end-to-end maintenance and support for the optoacoustic tomography imaging system.• As my main advisor was stationed in NYU and our collaborator team in Munich, the entirety of my PhD work was done under remote team collaboration conditions.
