Supported by the Police and Crime Commissioner, this is a voluntary position chairing the East Cambridgeshire's multi-agency partnership which supports our most vulnerable groups. Partners include the Police and Fire services, plus representatives from local health, business, community groups, county and district authorities working on prevention strategies to combat anti social behaviour, potential crime and improve youth provision

I am the former Mayor of the City of Ely Council and Chair of the Council.

After having been a Deputy Head for over 18 years at a large secondary school in Peterborough, I returned to Ely College part time, mainly in the Sixth Form. I also wrote and co-ordinated the Key Stage 3 Enterprise Curriculum. I supported the business link programme between the College and the local business organisations, running the Business Mentoring programme for Sixth Formers

My role was to engage the local businesses in the school, covering curriculum support, visits, writing and assessment.

I was the Chair of the Government funded organisation with a budget of over £750K supporting the liaison between HE, FE schools and colleges to raise the profile of University through awareness raising activities, visits, trips etc. The aim was to raise attainment and awareness for young people to make considered choices to enter University.

Peterborough

I was Deputy Head at Orton Longueville School in Peterborough for 18 years and dealt with all issues relating to running a large secondary school, ie curriculum, timetabling, pastoral, staffing, training and some elements of finance. Prior to that I worked for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough County Authority as an Advisory teacher introducing business studies and enterprise into both secondary and primary schools. I started teaching at the City of Ely College following a career in Business Administration mostly in the fashion industry having moved to Ely from London to run the family business. I finished my teaching career back in the City of Ely College teaching A level in Business Studies, Accounting and KS3 enterprise.
