• Managing and liaising with foreign attorneys in relation to trade mark, patent, utility model and design applications (with bodies including the USPTO, AUIPO, UKIPO, EUTM, CIPO, NZIPO, DPMA, and more), including renewals, oppositions, and cancellations; foreign trade mark prosecutions and oppositions/cancellations. • Coordinating all aspects of intellectual property protection and compliance, including patents, trade marks, copyright, trade secrets, and open-source… Show more • Managing and liaising with foreign attorneys in relation to trade mark, patent, utility model and design applications (with bodies including the USPTO, AUIPO, UKIPO, EUTM, CIPO, NZIPO, DPMA, and more), including renewals, oppositions, and cancellations; foreign trade mark prosecutions and oppositions/cancellations. • Coordinating all aspects of intellectual property protection and compliance, including patents, trade marks, copyright, trade secrets, and open-source software.• Successfully responding to overcome 500 trade mark adverse examination reports.• Orchestrate activities of an international team of 5 technical paralegals; efficiently manage time and resources to meet all personal and team working deadlines; designate team, individual, and project objectives and tracked progress toward them.• Negotiating pricing quotations and estimates with foreign legal counsels and clients. • Delivering in-house training, striving to maximize knowledge and team integration, maintain high professional standards, and ensure commitment to company objectives.• Direct the selection, retention, management, and evaluation of all outside counsel. • Continuously corresponding with clients and foreign counsel, providing associated legal advice and building robust client relationships; collaborate with trade mark colleagues in partner offices and in relationship firms in other countries concerning client IP matters.• Confer with Patent examiners from USPTO and trade mark examiners from IP Australia. • Enforce brand protection, monitor IP infringement, conduct trademark domain name searches, and research, interpret, and organize patent, trademark, and copyright compliance for consumer products, both existing and new brands and ideas.KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:• Successfully overcome substantive office actions and adverse reports for over 500 trade mark applications, most of them for highly prominent IPs. • Attracting and developing a cohesive global paralegal team of 5.
