Validating a second supply source for product platform requiring alignment with both US and oversees vendor through weekly phone calls, regular email communications, and onsite visits. Evaluating 3rd party QC process and identifying areas to guarantee reliable product delivery from vendors. Establishing design ownership of existing design to efficiently implement modifications. Working with field and customer-facing team to gather customer feedback directly from users and distributors to create requirements to drive new design and feature modifications. Prioritizing cross-functional team interaction, lead design reviews to keep all stakeholders up to date on resource dependencies from a design aspect.

Working closely with systems engineers to create precision sample-measuring instrumentation. Main project focuses on transitioning an existing laboratory product into a production-ready, mobile platform to elevate utility companies' ability to proactively detect natural gas leaks. Leading mechanical effort to enable environmental control of system in extreme cold weather temperatures, tasks also include coordinating with electrical team to ruggedize, layout, and design chassis components, including EMI-specific design considerations and driving testing for FCC, UL, and CE certifications. Maintaining timelines and proposing budgets for existing and new projects, coordination of hardware teams with weekly update and coordination meetings. Involved closely with implementation of Agile process across the company with focus on hardware team adoption. Part of a team creating commercial products elevating user experience enabling new terrain accessibility through mechanical and electric assist wheelchair attachments. Lead new product design by optimizing and simulating 3D CAD models to create drawing packages for prototyping and implementing recreational wheelchair attachments to increase mobility for user. Additional roles include operating in-house 3D printer by researching open-source software to enhance rapid-prototyping capabilities as well as hands-on assembly and design verification testing. Tasks also cover coordinating with manufacturing plants, both in US and Taiwan negotiating quotes for tooling, optimizing part design and assembly requirements implementing GD&T standards for fabrication.

Served as Lead Engineer on several projects for the Department of Energy (DOE), the Department of Defense (DoD), and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Responsible for the design of key fabricated components for automated systems installed at the Spallation Neutron Source; Collaborated with the Air Force as lead engineer designing and testing cryogenic-compliant positioning systems. Verified walking-robot technology as Project Manager through prototype design and software implementation by working closely with electrical team employing mechatronic principles. Responsible for proposal preparation and submittal as well as delivering progress and final reports to multiple government agencies. Leading the testing of several projects, I reported results and future designs to our clients via presentations online, over the phone, and in person.

Designed and integrated mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings. Focusing on designing energy-efficient mechanical systems to meet strict regulations set by Pitkin County, CO and LEED standards. Served as Lead Mechanical Engineer on a 380,000 sq. ft. 3-star hotel in the Vail Valley. Worked directly with architects and structural engineers throughout the design phase, from concept to completion, concentrating on system interference issues of in both new construction and remodels.Design

Worked with NASA to design components for a monitoring system on the International Space Station. Partnered with a Fiber Optics company to design parts for their custom telecommunications projects.

Data Collection and report preparation for governmental agencies. Reports reflected the observation of effects of the logging industry on the fish and wildlife habitat.
