In 2004 I began volunteering at Jiffy Lube Live concert pavilion for my daughter's high school to raise funds for their After Prom event. Our group worked in the concessions area, overseeing food & beverage sales during 25-35 events each season. During my 2nd year as volunteer, I became the group lead, coordinating 30-40 volunteers, and we successfully raised over $35,000 for the school (from previous totals of $3-4000). In the 4 years that followed I managed the food & beverage/concessions for the venue's VIP Club, Box Seats and private venue parties. I scheduled and supervised more than 40 employees for more than 100 events. My time at Jiffy Lube Live allowed me to meet some great people and learn new and different life skills.
