I founded Uppercut Boxing Gym in 1996 and operated it for nearly 23 years. One of largest and most popular boxing gyms in the Upper Midwest, Uppercut also enjoyed a strong reputation nationwide. My mission for Uppercut was to make the sport of boxing available to a wide variety of participants of all ages, skill, and fitness levels. The gym as a physical space closed in June 2019, but I am continuing my involvement in amateur boxing through my work with Golden Gloves of America, with a concentration on branding and marketing. My goal is to participate in the rejuvenation of the national Golden Gloves by helping new and existing franchises implement boxing training programs, develop effective coaches, obtain necessary certifications, make matches for boxing shows, and host boxing events.
