FirstEnergy Corp is a registered public utility holding company with regulated utility and transmission operating companies and non-regulated subsidiaries. FirstEnergy is divided among ten operating companies and is the largest investor owned electric system serving Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.My position is part of our Workforce Development team at FirstEnergy where I travel throughout our territory which includes ten Operating Companies across five states. We create programs and curriculums using our corporate training standards. I build and publish web-based training using the Articulate software and PowerPoint presenter. I graduated from our Supervisor/Manager program in 2014.• Responsible for implementing training for new user and current employees on FirstEnergy energy delivery programs across all ten operating companies. • Organize course curriculum and materials for six major FirstEnergy systems to ensure manuals and lesson plans remain up to date in a constantly changing environment. • Develop, design, and implement new training programs using the ADDIE model to address the needs of specified work groups. • Identify the training objectives and budget across all companies through yearly class forecasting and needs analysis. • Investigate gaps in performance and provide follow-up training to promote best work practices and process confidence. • Coach employees and leadership on advanced concepts to enhance understanding and finding solutions to meet their present and future performance goals.• Mentor new instructors by creating and tracking their development plans.

As an employee of the Line Department I was responsible for 28 Line employees payroll, benefits, and employee records. I dispatched outage and hazard orders to the Line crews to restore power and fix downed wires and other hazardous conditions. I was responsible for keeping current on the union contract and company policies and procedures.

Owner/Operator of The Emerald Chalice, an eclectic gift shop specializing in organic products, herbal teas and herbal remedies, self-help books, jewelry, 100% recycled material greeting cards, and 100% soy candles. I started the company in 2004 and sold the company in 2014.
