To manage all sick absences and annual leave and to ensure all time sheets were processed correctly and on time. To hold regular meetings with both civilian staff and Military line managers to ensure everybody was aware of their roles within the Regiment and with the Line Managers to understand the procedures when supervising the civilian workforce. To deal with all welfare matters in the appropriate and confidential manner in the absence of the Quartermaster.The Quartermaster Department is the hub of a Regiment and is extremely busy on a day to day basis. My main duties to the department were the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, to deal with any problems that may occur within the Regiment regarding damages and repairs to the offices or to the single soldier accommodation and to report these to the appropriate agents. I established a data base of all damages and repairs on excel thus enabling me to keep accurate records and chase up outstanding work. It was also my responsibility to charge damages to any soldier who wilfully damaged property.

In charge of the pre planned maintenance schedule for gas and electric safety checks, daily time sheets for the engineers, filing of safety certificates on Excel and all other administration duties.

Responsible for the issue of all military equipment, from everyday uniform to Operational tour equipment to all soldiers within the Regiment. To ensure that all issues, receipts and demand of all clothing and equipment be accounted for using Unicom and DII. Keeping legible accounts to show audit trails. To deal with soldiers at all ranks everyday.

Various roles including the responsibility for receiving, sorting and dispatching the mail for the whole Garrison to and from worldwide locations and BFPO units. Then moved onto the Regimental stocktaking team with the responsibility for the efficient processing of unit demands received by phone and entering data into Global (army stores computer), filing all paper demand and ensure that the stock was correct for the Regiment to deploy on Military Operations and exercises.
