Reporting directly to Nurse Policy Director, full responsibility for planning and budgeting of assigned project work. Successfully managed an amateur photographic submissions and exhibition held in May 2010. A new initiative to celebrate the annual International nurse’s and midwives day. Selected to manage an annual multiple ministerial event, The State Nursing & Midwifery Excellence Awards, 2010. Managed and created award submissions, designed and prepared promotional materials; managed 3rd party suppliers; accountable to manage budget, coordinated internal stakeholders and worked closely with ministerial office and corporate communications unit. Responsible for managing and coordinating a 2 day research symposium with 2 International and 2 National speakers. Prepared briefings, Government RFQ (request for quotation) process, collaborating bio’s and photographs of all speakers. Worked with the Director of Nursing on the National guest list database, and contract approval and sign off. Managed the event management company in securing venue, invitation and booklet design and branding. Led the restructure of the Nursing in Victoria website. Worked closely with the corporate communications team and with IT project teams for smooth transition.

Established excellent communication skills and consultation with café/restaurant owners, successfully communicated increase in permit fees of 20% for the 2007-2009 period, and converted this to produce an increase in income for the City of Melbourne. Successfully coordinated the issuing of permits for 650 cafe/restaurant outdoor cafés, including the shared management of responsibilities of both internal and external agencies to produce results within a tight deadline Demonstrated exceptional capability to work proactively and independently in coordinating council hearings for local bar/restaurant/café business owners through community consultation.

Selected to drive marketing strategies to support promotions, events, campaigns and community relations. Accountable to manage and present budgets on appointed assets of $80 million turnover in the retail division.Develop, manage and maximise succinct marketing messages, preparing promotional and corporate communications; managing 3rd party suppliers across the company portfolio. In developing and executing four marketing plans, with budgets in excess of $1m, I kept abreast of marketing trends and changes through various networks and associations such as The Property Council of Western Australia and industry related leaders.
