Since gaining an ITEC diploma in holistic massage therapy in 2011, my focus has been on complementary therapies, well-being, and stress management. I’m a Breathworks trained mindfulness teacher, delivering tasters and courses in the local community, and I'm trained to deliver the Mindfulness in Schools Project Paws b curriculum. I am also a Reiki Master professional practitioner with the CNHC quality mark and I volunteer as a complementary therapist for Thames Hospice and My Cancer My Choices. I have a particular interest in the use of complementary therapies to support the wellbeing of people living with cancer and those receiving end of life care. I am currently working part-time as the Learner Support Coordinator for Living Well Dying Well and I'm training to be an end of life doula. During my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of environmental, science education, youth engagement, and human rights education projects through the various roles I’ve held. I’ve been fortunate enough to work for Friends of the Earth and Amnesty International, in addition to gaining experience as a science teacher and youth worker. Up until July 2022, I was also working as a freelance tutor for The SMAE Institute, supporting mature students studying foot healthcare. More recently, I’ve been invited by Young Citizens to be a freelance youth conference facilitator.
