I was responsible for the oversight of all sales support activities including management of the proposals function, all sales reporting, and ownership of the internal customer relationship management system. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to the following tasks:- provided direction and guidance to the proposals team on related processes in the areas of document development, review, and compliance- ensured that client proposals and related budgets were completed to established company standards- developed and maintained sales reporting tools and processes, including directly interfacing with internal operations, IT, and finance staff to ensure accurate weekly reporting of sales data and metrics. Included, but is not limited to the weekly tracking of the following: sales meetings/contacts, requests for proposals (RFP), requests for information (RFI), pending proposals, new orders (awards), projects lost (non-awards), contracts, and addendums (change orders)- provided regular (quarterly /annual) updates of proposal and budget costing tools. This may have include the budgeting system and related tool/template overhaul(s) to facilitate enhancement of bidding capabilities and to support usage of various contracted payment terms- responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of departmental filing processes and conventions- worked cross-functionally with internal departments, including Operations and Finance to accomplish departmental goals and initiatives- provided training to all levels of Operations and Sales staff on related systems and reporting tools- coached, managed and mentored staff
