I currently provide legal support on environmental and litigation matters for Devon Energy, an oil and gas exploration and production company.Over the years, my practice has been concentrated on environmental litigation and compliance issues arising out of state, local and federal environmental laws. I'm licensed to practice law in Colorado, California (inactive) and Arizona (inactive). I have litigated matters such as Superfund cleanups and cost recovery, toxic tort class actions for personal injury and property damage, natural resource damages, citizen suits, clean water and air act cases and underground storage tank claims.As a partner at two national law firms, and now as in-house counsel, I help clients and firms manage risks associated with environmentally impaired property, through due diligence counseling, and by negotiating voluntary cleanup plans and environmental covenants to facilitate property transactions. I also am an experienced litigator, and manage litigation matters for the company.I also have experience in renewable and alternative energy projects such as ethanol plants, wind farms and oil shale, advising clients as they address the evolving issues associated with renewable energy, climate change and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
