I have had the privilege to work in the healthcare industry since 2007. I started as a Medical Assistant where I worked as a lead MA in a hospital and Clinical office until 2014 with Medstar. I then decided it was time to try something new within healthcare. I joined Maxim Healthcare as a Reimbursement Specialist in December of 2014 where I quickly got internally promoted to an HR Coordinator for the Dept. of Employee Relations. I spent over 2 years in this role and gained a lot of HR/ER knowledge and experience where I was able to take on level 1 and 2 cases by the end of my time in this role. I was promoted to the Dept. of Talent Acquisitions as pretty much what you call a Recruiter Coordinator. I was in this role for a little over 2 years and I assisted Regional Recruiters with on-boarding, background checks, offer letters, and everything in-between up until a candidates day 1. I really enjoyed this role and found my love for recruiting. I then became a Recruiter Associate Manager with a staffing agency in at the end of 2019. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, this role came to a halt. I was able to transition into an HR Coordinator role for Adventist Healthcare, a few months later, but realized I wanted to go back into recruiting. Adventist Healthcare has a partnership with Corelife Healthcare where I then transferred on as an HR Recruiter. In this role I was responsible for MD/NC/PA regions. I also assisted in HR responsibilities, training, and creating new process' for my team. I really exceled in my role, and was looking forward to what would come next. Unfortunately, this company let me go after I had a baby, with no warning, write-ups, or performance issues ever! (mind blown) It was never my style to talk down on a previous company, so I will just leave it at that, and wish them well. It was all part of the journey! I will say I was grateful to spend more time with my newborn and really enjoy those first couple of months stress-free. Thankfully, I was picked up by my last employer NPT. They were nothing short of AMAZING! Unfortunately, due to company layoffs, my time came to an end. I am now looking to find my next career home to bring my A-game recruiting/HR skills and build out new connections.
