About Lisa Dooling
I have a proven track record in liaison work, with a pride in what I do, delivering public liaison services for 22 years. I enjoy working collaboratively with team members, customers, stakeholders and the general public, to ensure that all concerns are heard, appropriate solutions offered and opportunities implemented to achieve community, educational and charitable social responsibility. I have excellent social skills enabling me to engage quickly, and effectively with work colleagues and the general public. With abundant knowledge and experience of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, I have assisted site management and project teams to achieve awards and improve our quality of work from lessons learnt. It was an honour and pleasure to play a part in some major infrastructure projects within Birmingham. Developments such as Masshouse Circus and Selly Oak New Road, which links to the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital and consisted of the construction of the Aerial Aqueduct and a new rail bridge. My involvement during the Birmingham City Centre Extension, extending the metro improving passenger connectivity from Wolverhampton to Grand Central, has assisted in further involvement to deliver five metro routes. I have fond memories and pride reflecting on these projects which were all history in the making when involved. With considerable experience in the construction industry, of which I am passionate about, I would welcome the opportunity to utilise my existing skills within any organisation that would inspire and motivate me. Job satisfaction is crucial and drives me to work beyond the call of duty and to exceed value.

Volunteer
While seeking fulltime employment, since I was laid off 24 March 2020 due to the Corona pandemic, I volunteered for The Active Wellbeing Society Birmingham. From 1 afternoon a week to 3 days a week. My first duty was sorting boxes of vegetables, to making food parcels and dignity packs. Decanter and split to share in food parcels bulk items. As my confidence developed I assisted with stacking and sorting bulk items, to free pallets and create more floor space for further bulk deliveries. On occasion I found I self-managed due to gaining experience of the system, by noting when various stock became low for food packers. Duties then involved manual handling/bringing in bulk supplies from the storage area, unpacking, stacking in order for individuals to add a variety of items to make food parcels, splitting and stacking bulk food packaging for recycling, cleaning and tidying work stations. This work requires team involvement and working alone at times.Working with, and learning from many amazing people. This opportunity has been a blessing for me while unemployed.
